Make it your own.

Your Sound and Wood

We start by choosing the woods that will support the design and the sound that you want. You will have an opportunity to not only choose the type of wood but also specific pieces.

Your Colors and Inlay

From there we will decide the colors and the symbols that are important to you to incorporate into the design. This will inform the inlay and the overall design.

Your Size and Shape

I will get your hand measurements and dominance. Then you can add any specifications you want on the shape of the body or headstock.

Special Details

Any special details you have in mind I will do my best to accomodate. Hand carved tuning pegs, back inlay or side inlay, are just some examples.

Process and Pricing

  • The wood we use will can be from reclaimed colonial buildings and churches in Colombia, exotic hard woods, or imported from anywhere in the world. I’m always hunting for beautiful and unique pieces. We will select the type and the specific cut that you want for your instrument.

  • You're welcome to check in at any point during the building process for photos and updates on your instrument’s progress. We love sharing the evolution of each piece and keeping you connected to its story. While we invite you to stay informed, please note that major design changes may not be possible once construction has begun.

  • Once your instrument is complete, we will ship it securely in a hard case, fully insured, with tracking provided. Domestic shipping is included; international shipping will be quoted separately based on destination and customs requirements. Please allow additional time for customs clearance if shipping outside of Colombia. If you’re local, we also offer in-person handoff by appointment.

  • Each instrument is backed by a lifetime guarantee to the original owner, covering any defects in materials or craftsmanship. This includes structural issues such as bracing failure, neck joint problems, or glue separation resulting from the building process. The guarantee does not cover damage due to humidity or temperature changes, general wear and tear, or accidents and misuse. To remain valid, the instrument must be properly cared for, including storage in a stable humidity environment and use of a hard case.

While we do not offer refunds, we understand that circumstances can change. If needed, we’re happy to post your instrument for resale and reimburse you from the proceeds once it sells. This guarantee reflects our commitment to lasting quality, and the belief that a well-made instrument should accompany you for life.
